Its OUR pool. LET'S get it reopened
WHAT ARE WE TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH?
It's simple. We want Gibsons Pool reopened and offering services under a schedule equivalent to other pools in the SCRD.
It seems that for the SCRD, Gibsons pool is a non-performing financial asset. For our neighbourhoods and community, the pool is a much-needed space to maintain and strengthen our physical and mental wellbeing.
We need your help to get it reopened and its hours of operations expanded.
LATEST NEWS AND BACKGROUND
The Town of Gibsons is offering to dip into a trust fund to help reopen the pool. There is increasing support from the community on this issue. “The regional district has not as yet responded to our request in writing that we made over a month ago for information relative to the opening of the pool,” said mayor Bill Beamish.
